MaxiMist SprayMate Pro:

This is one of the first HVLP spray tan machines that I purchased when the spray tan industry went from an airbrush style of the application to the faster and cleaner HVLP compressors.

It was life-changing!

Once I got the hang of my new HVLP spray tan equipment, I was able to spray on a tan in 10 minutes vs the 30-40 minutes that my little airbrush tanning system could put out.  Faster spray tans and a cleaner spray tan room? SOLD!

MaxiMist SprayMate Pro Overview:

The MaxiMist SprayMate Pro Spray Tanning System is a great entry-level machine—perfect for new spray tan business owners or mobile spray tan artists. It is extremely easy to set up and comes with the Pro Series Spray Gun.

Just connect the hose to the HVLP compressor and the spray gun to the hose and within minutes you are assembled for your first spray tan.

The Pro Series Spray Gun, which I am a fan of, is already set up with the proper tip and needle assembly allowing you to get spraying immediately.

MaxiMist SprayMate Pro Style:

MaxiMist follows traditional spray tan machine design, this entry-level unit is compact and lightweight. The aluminum Pro Series HVLP Spray Tan Gun is professional-looking, easy to clean and provides minimal overspray.

MaxiMist SprayMate Pro Durability:

The MaxiMist SprayMate Pro Spray Tanning System is quite strong and well-manufactured. It is a bit loud. I used this spray tanning machine for years when I was just starting my spray tan business and, although I was using it daily, it provided me with thousands of flawless spray tans.

Once my first MaxiMist SprayMate Pro compressor finally gave up and quit—yes these things happen, I purchased another one for my mobile spray tan business and upgraded to the MaxiMist Evolution Pro for my spray tanning studio as it is rated for a higher volume of work.

MaxiMist SprayMate HVLP Pro Spray Tan Gun Features:

I have had the MaxiMist HVLP Pro Spray Gun for years and it just keeps on spraying!  It’s my little workhorse.

The Pro-Gun that comes with the kit has a much smoother spray pattern than many of the basic model spray guns that are on the market. The Pro-Gun makes it easy to spray on a sunless tan and contouring and detail work a snap. It also has less overspray than the basic spray gun options that are available with some of the spray tan equipment kits.

In my opinion, this is HUGE!  Less mess for me to clean up daily.

The spray cup fills easily and the directional spray pattern is equally easy to change to suit your spray preferences.

The older model of this Pro Spray Gun had the hose connection on the back of the gun whereas the newer model connects at the bottom.  I prefer the hose connection on the back of the gun assembly but it is becoming increasingly hard to find that setup.  You do have to adjust your spraying style slightly during downward strokes on the lower legs and feet.  If you are a new spray tan artist then this won’t be an issue for you…maybe you just can’t teach an old spray tan artist new tricks.

The spray speed on the Pro-Gun is adjustable allowing you to set your spray tan solution flow to the speed that suits your style and level of skill. For entry-level spray tan artists, a slower spray speed is preferable until you get your spraying routine down, making it a great spray tanning machine for beginners and pros.

Conclusion:

My spray tan equipment is the most important part of my business, which is the reason why even though this spray tan machine is a little higher priced for entry-level equipment I would not compromise on the quality to save a few bucks.

Having used MaxiMist SprayMate Pro for some time in my spray tan business, I have gotten my money’s worth out of this little HVLP spray tan machine.

I have also recommended this spray tan machine to my goddaughter for spraying herself and her friends while she attended Ohio State University and her machine is still going strong 10 years later.
